This limited edition of ten watches in rose gold gives center stage to a white-faced ibis, a species of wading bird frequenting the brackish fresh-water marshes of North and Central America, as well as the southern half of South America. The complex motif of the plumage in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel called for about 57 cm of gold wire (~0.23 g). To conjure up the variegated tints of the wader’s feathers the enameller then worked with a palette of semi-opaque, transparent and opaque enamels in 57 colors, before accentuating this splendid display of gradations and plays of light and shade with 6 colors of miniature painting on enamel.
