This limited edition of twenty watches in yellow gold reproduces the sumptuous gold and black embroidery that illuminates the matador’s traje de luces or “suit of lights”. The engraver began by chasing the top layer of the dial to produce a silky texture that would form the backdrop. He then modeled the decorative elements representing the embroidery using a dry-point needle to etch fine lines in the metal recalling the softness and sheen of the gold threads.
