This limited edition of three watches in yellow gold reproduces the festive spirit and secular activities of the Chinese Qingming festival, devoted to the sweeping and cleaning of loved-ones’ tombs. It draws on a version, dating from 1736, of a scroll painting first executed by the artist Zhang Zeduan in the 12th century during the Song dynasty. The dial was first hand-engraved with a pattern of wavelets, before being coated with translucent blue enamel, creating the illusion of a river in motion.
