This limited edition of ten watches pays homage to tartan, a woolen cloth originating from Celtic peoples, for whom its motif denoted, in ancient times, the wearer’s social status or geographic origins. First, the dial was finely hand-guilloched with 2 motifs oriented in 4 different directions, using a straight-line engine lathe. Next, the enameller showcased the technique of flinqué enameling by allowing the crossing horizontal and vertical lines typical of tartan, fashioned from about 45 cm of gold wire (~0.4 g), to remain visible through the Grand Feu cloisonné enamel decoration.
